Back to Piquiatuba…

I am writing this post about to walk out the door and head out to the river village of Piquiatuba.  This was the village that I had the opportunity to work at 5 weeks ago when my friends were here to visit.  Check out the details from that trip in this previous post.

Upon completion, this church will be the largest PAZ church in the region as far as size.  We are trusting that the Lord is going to bless this community and the local Body as it is in a strategic location for the region and will be used as a regional training center.

This village is on the Tapajos River, but is also accessible by reasonable roads, by jungle standards, so four of us from Santarem will head out tomorrow morning at 4 AM on the 3 or so hour car ride to meet up with a team of men from the Igreja Da Paz church in Alter Do Chao and pour a concrete floor in the church.  Lord willing, in two days we will be done and return to Santarem on Saturday night.

After this is done, the church will essentially be ready for occupancy, although, there will be many other jobs to be done to finish the project.  Please pray with us for safety in travel, safety in working, blessed fellowship with the other workers, and that this community and church would receive a blessing by the work that is done.

I hope to get some updates on here about the recent activity in Santarem, including the MDA Conference.  Also, some photos to come.  Until then…

Basking in Grace,

JAE
