Well, after a couple days rest, I have the opportunity to head out again, this time on the Amazon River to a village that will be receiving water filters. I don’t know many details of this trip other than it is the water filter team from the mission and myself going to this village. When I get back I hope to update you more about the status of the village and the work being done through the filter project.
This will be another great opportunity for me to learn. First, I will be only with Portuguese speakers, which will help my language learning. Second, I have not been on a filter trip, so this will give me a chance to learn about how this aspect of the mission operates.
You can find more info from this page on the PAZ website about the water filter efforts here in the Amazon Basin.
We are meeting tomorrow morning at 6 AM to head out and will return on Sunday afternoon. Please pray for the safety in travel for the boat and the people on the team. May these filters open the door for the message of Life-Giving Water that quenches an eternal thirst! We are all in desperate need of this water, lest we thirst forever! Jesus Christ is the only water that satisfies! May these people have a spring of water well up inside of them, bringing forth fruit in their lives and ultimately glory to God!
Satisfied in Christ,
JAE
