Happy Holidays from Brazil!!

Dear Friends and Family,

Boas Festas de Brasil! I wanted to send out one last note to end the year of our Lord 2009. I know it is cliche, but it is a real experience to sit back and wonder where the time has gone. Ten years ago we were all wondering how the world was going to survive the incoming millennium. I am now wondering how my first year on the field is going to be and reflecting on my experience that I had in Brazil a year ago this week that launched me into full time international missions. Most people wonder how the world economy is going to shape up following this current downturn.

The director of Project Amazon recently challenged the donors of the mission to utilize their funds for year-end giving to directly affect the life of someone they know personally. This was a bold challenge considering the level of funding that the mission receives at the year's end. But this is a testament of faith for the leadership of PAZ, understanding the need for christian love and resources all over the world, not just in the Amazon Basin. I believe that one reason the Lord is blessing the gospel work of this mission is because of its sound leadership.

The Lord has demonstrated his steadfast love in my life over and over again in 2009. And the Word only confirms that this will be the case for 2010 as well. So I pray that you will be blessed in this coming year. Be bold in your faith and love unconditionally. Live the Gospel and share it in ways you have never done before. And please pray for me to have boldness in presenting the gospel as well. I know I need it.

I look forward to what the Lord has in store for 2010 and sharing with you all how he is working through PAZ and me in the Amazon Basin as well as in my life. Be sure to check out my blog for updates. Also, if you would like to partner in this ministry, check out my donor page on the PAZ website where you can donate online or get information on how to donate via snail mail.'

God Bless You!
JAE
