President Obama's remarks on the Roe vs. Wade anniversary:
Today marks the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that protects women’s health and reproductive freedom, and affirms a fundamental principle: that government should not intrude on private family matters.
I am committed to protecting this constitutional right. I also remain committed to policies, initiatives, and programs that help prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant women and mothers, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.
I believe this video echos my heart-cry:And on this anniversary, I hope that we will recommit ourselves more broadly to ensuring that our daughters have the same rights, the same freedoms, and the same opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.
And this video depicts the reality of abortion. Also, the site has many great resources for pro-life apologetics.
In the US, over 1.3 million abortions are done annually, but this only accounts for 3% of the abortions done worldwide. Here in Brazil, abortion is illegal, but this stance seems to be up for grabs. But don't let this fool you. Thousands upon thousands of abortions are done illegally each year.
Pray.
