Permanent Residency

After four years in the making, I'm lucky enough to have been granted my permanent residency visa and ID card for Brazil!

[insert Hoopin' & Holerin']

I'm only six weeks shy of having lived in Brazil for four years, which in and of itself seems like an accomplishment.  So much has gone on in my life since September 10th of 2009, that I can't begin to account for it all.

But the sure thing is this; God is my Rock and Fortress, my strong tower, a bulwark in my life.  Short of His irresistible grace and underserving mercy, I'd be decimated somewhere in Illinois.  So praise Him from whom all blessings flow!  I'm confident of the work he's done in me, and the work of sanctification that He will continue in me (and my family) until the day of our glorification!  But until then, we'll keep serving, and loving, our God and His kingdom of Light, glorifying the name of His Son, Christ Jesus amongst the nations!

As the Lord lays out our future in front of us, we'll remember this permanent visa status as an ebenezer that marks our path.  May in serve to encourage us as we walk forward in faith.

What ebenezers do you have along your path?
