They’re Here, and Now We’re Gone!

Ashley, Logan, Me

I have my FIRST VISITORS!  Logan and Ashley arrived yesterday morning at about 6:40 AM and will be spending the next couple weeks here, joining another team of Americans to do some church construction, flood relief, water filter installation and maintenance, and hopefully some medical/dental assistance.

I have known these two as a couple for about a year now.  Logan attended my home church and thus we’ve been friends for almost 4 years now.  He was able join me on a short term team trip to PAZ last year, but now I”m thanking God that he was able to bring his wife back to visit!

Today we depart for the Tapajos River village of Piquiatuba to help build rafters and pour a floor in their new church.  We’ll return to Santarem this weekend and then depart again next Monday for the Amazon River village of Aritapera where we will be doing flood relief work, along with many other mission workers to assist with health work and water filter work.  These two weeks will be busy, filled with laborious work, done in His name.

Please join us in prayer for these two trips!  We know that our Lord is in the business of transforming lives!  Let’s pray that He will be working in the lives of these people to bring them to saving faith in the Lord!  Also, that the churches and families already established in the Lord would be strengthened and encouraged to rise up and walk in renewed faith!  May the wily enemy be put to shame by the powerful actions of Christ’s army of witnesses!  God will be glorified by the work these two weeks and He will reveal the Bread of Life to His children!

Also, we would appreciate your prayers for safety, strength, and courage for the team, missionaries, and boat crew.

For the expansion of His Kingdom,
John
