Kick-off 2013!

Tomorrow marks the start of the biennial PAZ Leadership Conference, where hundreds of PAZ leaders will come together for five days of spiritual and physical restoration and relaxation.  Silvia and I will be partly working on the support and logistics and also participating.  Please pray for all of us over these next few days, that our kick-off to 2013 would be a delight unto the Lord!  We'll try to share some highlights when it's all wrapped up!

Here's a note from directors Jeff & Becky with some more info:
What a way to start the year!!  We are expecting over 500 PAZ leaders from all over Brazil for our biennial leadership conference that runs from January 2nd to the 7th.  It’s “bring-your-own-hammock” accommodations as we hang out together (literally) in crowded cabins, eat shoulder-to-shoulder at picnic style tables in our rustic dining facilities, sweat together in the Amazon heat, enjoy the beautiful Tapajos River and its beaches swimming, playing, and sharing together in the afternoon, etc!
The fellowship is wonderful and refreshing but even more special is the time we have to worship and seek God together as we prepare for the future.  We review the successes of the year, cast vision for the future, and equip the leaders for greater effectiveness in ministry.  We will be specifically training on flowing in the gifts of the Spirit as well as the technique of “storying” -- presenting the Gospel orally in a way that is unforgettable and life-changing.  It is a time of deeper bonding between our brothers and sisters serving the Lord all over Brazil.
Please pray with us for the Presence of the Lord to be manifested in our meetings, for spiritual and physical refreshing of our leaders, for God’s protection over the camp, for cool weather, and that the Lord would direct every aspect of the logistics of caring for so many people.
Thank you for praying with us!  We rejoice together in what God is doing!
